MPM（Multi-Process-Model）1987 年誕生於台灣，是一套培養數學思考力的課程：不背公式、不死刷題，讓孩子真正理解、學會自己想。夢想家是花蓮市美崙的文理補習班，也是 MPM 數學美崙分校，學生屢次在全國數學競賽中獲獎。 MPM (Multi-Process-Model) was born in Taiwan in 1987: a maths programme that builds real thinking instead of formula memorising and endless drills. Dreamer is a tutoring school in Meilun, Hualien, and the local MPM Math branch. Our students regularly win awards in national math competitions.
MPM 是 Multi-Process-Model 的縮寫，由「多程序推理」與「多模式思考」兩大理念組成。它不是教孩子背更多公式，而是教孩子怎麼思考。 MPM stands for Multi-Process-Model, built on two ideas: multi-process reasoning and multi-model thinking. It doesn't teach children more formulas; it teaches them how to think.
把問題拆成一個個步驟，有條理地推理出答案。孩子學到的不只是答案，而是找到答案的過程。Break a problem into clear steps and reason your way to the answer. Children learn the process, not just the result.
用算式、圖形、教具等不同方式看同一個問題，找出最適合自己的解法，遇到沒看過的題目也不慌。Look at one problem through numbers, pictures and hands-on materials, find the approach that works for you, and stay calm when a question is new.
台大電機系畢業的張振昌，發現讀小學的女兒在外補習的題目太過機械化，只剩數字計算，於是親自為女兒編寫數學教材。Chang Chen-chang, a National Taiwan University electrical engineering graduate, found his daughter's tutoring worksheets too mechanical, nothing but calculations. So he wrote maths materials for her himself.
親友紛紛詢問，教材一路發展成完整的 MPM 數學課程，並建立起全台連鎖教室。Friends and family asked for the materials, which grew into the complete MPM curriculum and a chain of classrooms across Taiwan.
總部設有專職教材研發團隊，全台約一千間教室、一千五百位老師，陪伴孩子從 2 歲學到國中。A dedicated curriculum team at headquarters supports about 1,000 classrooms and 1,500 teachers across Taiwan, teaching children from age 2 through junior high.

老師不直接給答案，而是用問題一步步引導，讓孩子自己找出解法。Teachers don't hand out answers. They ask the right questions so children discover the solution themselves.
鼓勵孩子用不同方法思考同一個問題，培養靈活、不怕難題的數學腦。Children explore different routes to the same answer, growing a flexible mind that isn't afraid of hard problems.
透過教具把抽象的數學概念，變成看得見、摸得到的真實經驗。Manipulatives turn abstract concepts into something children can see, touch and truly grasp.
入學前先做檢測，找出最適合的起點；每個孩子都有屬於自己的學習路徑。An entry assessment finds the right starting point, so every child follows a learning path made for them.
答案都是 55，但每一種想法都在鍛鍊不同的能力。這就是 MPM 的課堂——重點不只是答對，而是「怎麼想」。Every route gives 55, but each one trains a different skill. That's an MPM classroom: it's not just about the right answer, it's about how you think.
一個一個加起來：Add them one at a time: 1+2+3+…+10 = 55
最直覺，培養計算的耐心與準確。The intuitive way — builds accuracy and patience.
頭尾配對，每組都是 11：Pair first and last — each pair makes 11: (1+10)+(2+9)+… = 5 × 11 = 55
發現規律，化繁為簡。Spotting patterns makes big problems small.
把階梯排兩份，拼成 10 × 11 的長方形，再除以 2：Make two staircases, fit them into a 10 × 11 rectangle, then halve it: 10 × 11 ÷ 2 = 55
用圖形「看見」數學，是 MPM 最迷人的地方。Seeing maths as shapes is what makes MPM click.
從 1987 年一份寫給女兒的教材開始，MPM 發展成全台約千間教室的數學品牌，在台灣補教市場佔有一席之地。What began in 1987 as worksheets for one little girl has grown into a maths brand with about 1,000 classrooms and a firm place in Taiwan's education market.

國中數學同樣採用 MPM 教材與引導式教學。國中數學觀念環環相扣，一個沒弄懂，後面就越學越吃力，所以我們先帶孩子理解「為什麼」，再透過分類題型練習，把會的題目穩穩拿分。Junior high maths uses MPM materials and guided teaching too. It builds on itself, so one missed idea makes everything after it harder: we start with why, then practise by question type, so kids reliably score on what they know.

國二、國三理化內容逐漸增加，若只靠公式記憶，遇到題目變化就容易卡關。本課程以「觀念理解」為核心，搭配重點整理、題型解析與實際演練，協助學生建立完整的理化架構。Physics and chemistry content grows quickly in Grades 8 and 9, and students who rely on memorised formulas get stuck as soon as a question changes. This course puts understanding first, with key-point summaries, question-type analysis and real practice, so students build a complete picture of the subject.

一般補習多是老師講解、學生大量練習；MPM 由老師提問引導，搭配教具與一題多解，讓孩子理解「為什麼」，並依每個人的程度安排進度。Regular tutoring is usually a teacher explaining and students drilling. In MPM, teachers guide with questions and use hands-on materials and multiple methods so children understand why, and every child works at their own level.
想打好數學基礎的孩子，和想挑戰競賽的孩子都適合。MPM 依照每個孩子的程度安排進度，不會跟不上，也不會等別人。Both children who need a solid foundation and those ready for competition challenges. MPM sets each child's pace individually, so no one falls behind or waits around.
